Apex Technology (ACX) shares rose nearly 5% after the company announced it had made software updates for its iPhone and iPad.

In the U.S., the stock was up more than 10%.

Shares of the company jumped as much as 17% in the opening minutes of trading.ACX, which has seen a wave of patent litigation stemming from its patent-pending device, Primitive Technology, were up nearly 6% on Thursday.

The company’s stock was trading near the $50 mark in late trading.
